Painting Techniques

 How to even begin on this topic of 'Painting Techniques''? It is like an ocean or maybe the myriad constellation of stars. The painting techniques obviously depends on the creative and extraordinary mind of an artist. 

  A painter possesses the quality to compose his composition using any relevant or necessary equipment.

Ample of techniques are there to choose from and it obviously depends on the artist's preference and expertise , how he would like to bring his creation in front of the world.

Our day to day essentials can become useful medium for painting. Ordinary people without professional training can too come up with various of painting techniques using simple tools and devising simple techniques. 

1. Using a fork: We get a pattern painting. Something like this.   


  2. Using a dishwasher scrub :  Giving the impression of a vegetation, this techniques helps to create a dense foliage pattern.    

3. Use of graphite pencil and water:  This technique is used basically used for blending purpose in order to get that perfect shadow and give a realistic look.


4. The use of bubble wrap: This is a fun technique especially for the kids to enjoy. It is a bubble wrap dipped in colour and dabbed on the surface to create patterns. 


5. Pouring Technique: This technique is a blend of colours done one time. It is a form of abstract art where no other art tools are utilized, it is mix of colours done basically to attend a particular pattern. 


6. Blending oil- pastels with paper towels : This is another technique using a very easily available material and gives stunning and realistic effects. 
 
 Painting is such a form of art that can bring into its sphere a whole bundle and myriad of techniques and assimilation of ideas. 

  It is all the artist's vision that takes the form of a so called technique with the help of which he depicts 'his version of the story'.

 
Painting technique ranges from expensive and exotic methods using unconventional materials and tools or supplies to easily available , day to day  supplies.

 The ingenuity of an artist lies in his expertise to turn any medium or method into his playground, how the artist brings alive his creation depends all on how fluidly and simply his formulates or comes up with unconventional yet approachable techniques - be it the use of cotton buds, pallet knives or a varied selection of brushes.

An artist can pick up any material or method and use it to express his ideas and thoughts, only he has to have an eye and an urge to fulfill his passion. It comes naturally to an artist what technique he is comfortable with or if he is required to invent a new technique for his illustrations. 

'Painting techniques' is such a vast area of discussion that, it seems never ending. It all depends on the way and the mastery of artist how he communicates without the use of words only through his painting, that's why   -     Pablo Picasso famously remarked, ' Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot, others transform a yellow spot into the sun.'  
                             It is obviously his technique of doing something so marvelous.
